Dubois Wyoming is almost a one horse town a few hours outside Jackson Hole. If you don’t slow down for the warning signs you can blow through downtown in less than a minute. But I’d advise you not too, not only for the big dollar ticket I’m sure you be handed for speeding but because its an interesting place with interesting people. I couldn’t rate them if I tried, but if I had too, I’d say Kate and Robin Wiltshire of Turtle Ranch would be high on the list. Transplants from Australia that teach animals for movies and commercials – (think Budweiser’s Clysedales) . They have managed to find a corner of Dubois that seems a lot like what I’d imagine the Australian Outback would be. Dry, dusty and lots of red rock everywhere. Though their corner of Dubois is probably almost as far as the eye can see and has bands of horses set out to roam until they are needed..and of course quite a few of the hardiest looking Australian Cattle dogs I’ve ever seen. ( also the sweetest!)
This is Kate riding a big 18 hand white horse they picked up in Oregon that they are teaching to jump 6 feet for a commercial. Robins out of site urging her on with ” Just one more time Kate!.” I’ll post more photos of Dubois and the many characters i encountered in the next few posts.

Unless the construction makes you wait hours, I’ve found Dubois to be an hour or less from Jackson.
you must be a speeder!
